
What started as a gold award-winning project at last year’s Cambridge Science Competition has now blossomed into inter-school recognition for three bright young scientists from CCIS.

Last term, the school’s research teams traveled to the Inter-School Science Fair in Kuala Lumpur. While all participating teams performed admirably, it was the “Orange Explorers” who stole the spotlight.

The project, titled “From Waste to Clean: Investigating Orange Peel Extracts as Sustainable Disinfectants,” secured Second Place in the competitive Key Stage 4 category.
The winning team comprising Milly, Nina, and Jiyoung, demonstrated

Dr. Phil Outram, Executive Principal, said “their success shows the strength and potential of our growing school community, and the rigour they experience and embraced since joining us.”
The CCIS community extends huge congratulations to the Orange Explorers for their well-deserved win, as well as a round of applause to all teams for their commitment and hard work at the fair.
