What is the Rising Malaysian Scholarship 2026 (IGCSE / SPM Award)
The Rising Malaysian Scholarship celebrates outstanding Malaysian students who demonstrate rigour in learning, kindness in spirit, and creativity in thinking.
This scholarship recognises both academic excellence and personal potential, opening doors to Concord’s Accelerated 18-Month A-Level Programme (January 2026 Intake).

Eligibility And Minimum Requirements
The Scholarship is awarded based on the strength of the student’s academic performance, co-curricular involvement, communication skills and character.
The applicants’ financial need will be taken into consideration.
- Malaysian students aged 16 to 18 years who are currently not enrolled at Concord College International School Malaysia.
- Malaysian students who will complete or have completed their SPM, IGCSE or equivalent examination in November 2025 or December 2025.
- Scholarship recipients will commence school in January 2026 enrolling into Accelerated 18-month A-level Programme (Year 12).
- Shortlisted candidates are required to sit for an entrance assessment and attend an interview.
- All scholarship candidates should have a minimum of 6As in their SPM / IGCSE predicted / actual grades and top grades (A+ or A*)
- in any subjects they intend to take at A level where applicable.

1. What are the criteria to apply?
The Rising Malaysian Scholarship 2026 is awarded based on academic performance, co-curricular involvement, communication skills and character.
Financial need will also be considered.
Eligible applicants must:
Be Malaysian students aged 16–18 years not currently enrolled at Concord College International School Malaysia.
Have completed or will complete SPM, IGCSE or equivalent exams in November or December 2025.
Hold a minimum of 6As (predicted or actual) with A+ or A* in subjects intended for A-Level study.
Be enrolling into the Accelerated 18-Month A-Level Programme (January 2026 intake).
2. Which year group is this scholarship for?
This scholarship is available only for students entering Year 12 of the Accelerated 18-Month A-Level Programme, beginning January 2026.
3. What is the scholarship amount (quantum)?

A+ or A* is required in the subject(s) chosen for A-Level.
Boarding fees are excluded but available at 30% off published rates.
Conditional offers are based on trial results; actual results must be submitted for confirmation.
4. What is the application process?
Step 1: Submit the online application form together with:
Actual or forecast SPM/IGCSE results
Supporting documents as listed in the form
Step 2: Attend the Entrance Assessment, which includes:
English Assessment
Mathematics Assessment
CAT4 Assessment
Step 3: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by Dr Phil Outram, Executive Principal.
Step 4: Successful applicants will be notified on 8 December 2025 (Monday).
Note: Application and acceptance fees are waived for scholarship applicants.
5. What is not covered by the scholarship?
Refundable term deposit: RM5,000 (day students) / RM7,500 (boarders)
Meal plan (for day students only)
Boarding fees (weekday or full; includes accommodation, meals, laundry, weekend activities)
Transportation fees (for day students)
6. What is the application deadline?
All applications and supporting documents must be submitted by Friday, 5 December 2025.
7. When will results be announced?
Successful applicants will be announced on Monday, 10 December 2025.
8. What A-Level subjects are offered?
Students may choose up to four subjects from the following list:
Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics**, Geography, History, Economics, Computer Science, and English.
(Pre-requisite required for Further Mathematics.)
Subject availability will be confirmed upon enrolment.
