Fuzul Meer

Mr Fuzul Meer began his teaching career in 1995 at the Swedish School of Economics (Hanken), while undertaking PhD studies in Economics at the University of Helsinki. A turning point came in 1999 during his time at Helsinki Business Polytechnic, when a Vice Principal shared a reflection that deeply influenced his path: “Teaching is a profession that demands both affection and responsibility, as it shapes the future of young people.” This insight resonated strongly and affirmed Mr Meer’s decision to fully embrace teaching as his lifelong vocation.

He believes that effective teaching begins with trust. When students feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected, they become more open to learning—laying the foundation for both academic and personal growth. Mr Meer is committed to understanding each student as an individual, beyond their classroom performance, and works to build meaningful connections that support their development.

With this foundation, he fosters a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment where all students feel a sense of belonging, regardless of their academic background. He views mutual respect as essential in empowering students to fully engage and realise their potential.
