Year 9 and Year 10 Maths Masters Made Their Global Mark
Concord College International School’s Year 9 and Year 10 students made University of Waterloo’s Mathematics Competition 2025 their first global footprint with a strong placing amongst thousands of competitors worldwide.
A total of 20 students competed in the Pascal, Cayley and Fermat Contests organised by the university’s Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing in February 2025. Results released recently amplified the celebratory atmosphere.
1 CCIS student was placed within the top 15% (25,000 entries globally)
3 CCIS students placed in the top 6.5% (19,000 entries globally)
CCIS ranked in the top 21% out of 434 schools
“These students are raising standards, and their success is an example of the academic rigour we champion in the CCIS ethos. We are immensely proud of their achievement—a testament to their hard work, problem-solving brilliance, and unwavering determination. They have represented our school with distinction, inspiring their peers and setting a benchmark for future scholars,” said Dr Phil Outram, Head of Secondary School.
