Sunsuria Berhad and Concord College International Limited entered a strategic partnership, marking Sunsuria’s entry into the international education space. Under the partnership between Concord College International and Sunsuria Education Sdn Bhd , the two parties will establish and operate a British international school within Sunsuria City under the Concord College International brand.
Sunsuria Education Sdn Bhd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunsuria while Concord College International is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Bell Concord Educational Trust Limited, a UK-based educational charity that owns and operates Concord College, one of the UK’s top ranked independent co-educational international schools.
The partnership is expected to bring synergistic value to Sunsuria’s flagship Sunsuria City township by offering high quality international education to the residents, to the surrounding community and to the region.

Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Sunsuria Berhad, a public-listed company with core businesses in property development, construction, healthcare, education, and other strategic sectors.
A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malaya, he began his entrepreneurial journey in 1989 in the heavy machinery industry. Through vision and resilience, he has grown Sunsuria into an award-winning, diversified group.
A firm believer in the power of education, Tan Sri Ter was instrumental in establishing Concord College International School in collaboration with Concord College UK, with the aim of nurturing future generations through academic excellence and strong values in a globally connected environment.
His contributions have been recognised through numerous national honours, including:
- The Edge Malaysia Outstanding Property Entrepreneur Award (2017)
- Sin Chew Business Excellence Person of the Year (2014)
- Outstanding Malaysian Hokkien Award (2008 & 2017)
- Named National Unity Ambassador in 2016 by the Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNIN)
In 2021, Tan Sri Ter was appointed by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong as a member of the Malaysia Special Independent Emergency Committee. He also serves on several key government councils related to trade, prosperity, and public safety.
