CONCORD EARLY EXPLORERS
At Concord College International School, we believe that the early years are more than a foundation, it is a launchpad for a lifelong love of learning. Our Early Explorers programme offers a uniquely immersive and inspiring start to education, set within the framework of the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, yet enriched with our own Concord ethos of Rigour, Kindness, and Creativity.

Discovery through environment
Our Early Explorers are not confined to the classroom. Instead, they journey through hands-on experiences, playful inquiry, and meaningful engagement in our purpose designed Discovery Den, a dynamic learning space that brings the seven areas of learning to life as well as outdoor spaces to enhance learning. Within this engaging learning environment, children are encouraged to explore their world, develop confidence, and build skills that last a lifetime.
A Curriculum Rooted in Exploration
We deliver the EYFS framework through an experiential, child-led approach:
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
NOTES: Bahasa Malaysia, Sejarah Malaysia and Pendidikan Islam/Moral is compulsory for Malaysian students

The Concord Difference: Nurturing Key Skills for the Future
Our Early Explorers journey on a pathway from EYFS into Primary with a strong foundation of not only academic skills but essential character traits through our Concord Key Skills, which includes a set of skills within the following categories:
- Resilience
- Reflection
- Curiosity
- Collaboration
This unique pathway ensures a smooth and meaningful transition from Early Years to Primary, preparing children to thrive academically and socially.
Why Choose Concord Early Explorers?
We do not merely teach children, we nurture and guide them as they embark on a journey of self-discovery, learning not just content, but how to learn. At the heart of our Early Explorers programme lies a deep respect for children’s innate curiosity and capability. We believe that true understanding is cultivated not by providing ready-made answers, but by equipping children with the tools to think critically, solve problems independently, and make meaningful connections in their learning.
Our philosophy is rooted in the conviction that every child is a competent, curious individual, capable of making choices, expressing ideas, and leading their own learning with guidance and encouragement. Rather than delivering knowledge based on pre-determined outcomes, our educators act as facilitators, supporting each child to work through the natural steps of exploration, discovery, trial, error, and reflection. Through this process, children build resilience, develop their own problem-solving strategies, and take ownership of their learning journey and future challenges.
By fostering independence from the earliest stages, we empower our learners to become not only academically prepared, but emotionally and socially adept, ready to meet challenges with confidence, and to engage with the world as thoughtful, compassionate, and capable individuals.
