At Concord College International School, the Board of Governors provides strategic oversight and long-term stewardship, ensuring that every decision reflects the school’s commitment to educational excellence, responsible governance and the wellbeing of every student.

Working in partnership with the Executive Principal and senior leadership team, the Board is entrusted with safeguarding the school’s mission, supporting its continued development and ensuring that Concord remains true to the values that define its educational philosophy.

The Role of the Board

The Board of Governors is responsible for providing strategic oversight of the school and ensuring that Concord College International School remains focused upon its long-term vision and educational objectives.

Its responsibilities include:

  • Upholding the school’s vision, mission and values;
  • supporting sustainable strategic development;
  • promoting excellence in governance and accountability;
  • overseeing financial sustainability and responsible resource management;
  • supporting the Executive Principal and senior leadership team;
  • ensuring that policies and procedures reflect best practices;
  • maintaining a culture of integrity, transparency and continuous improvement.

While the day-to-day operation of the school rests with the Executive Principal and leadership team, the Board provides the governance framework that enables the school to grow with confidence and purpose.
