Growing up, particularly through adolescence, can be a challenging time for young people. We ensure that the appropriate care, support and guidance are available for our students.

Teachers, tutors, boarding staff and the Senior Leadership Team all take an oversight of this critical element of student development. This can mean anything from a student’s friendships and emotional state, to their food intake and exercise regime.

종합적 웰빙 지원 시스템

Our Health & Wellbeing Centre is staffed by Registered Nurses throughout term time during the school day on the following schedule:

평일 07:30~22:00
주말 17:00~22:00

Students may receive treatment or rest should the need arise. There is a local doctor’s clinic 200 metres away and, in the absence of parents, boarders will be accompanied by a nurse/member of staff should they require treatment.

*All students are required to submit a medical declaration form on any pre-existing medical conditions and a review of any prescribed medication is required.

신체적·정서적 웰빙

We are keen for students to participate in and to be aware of the vital importance of physical fitness and wellbeing for a healthy and happy life. In addition to timetabled PE lessons for Primary, Middle and Senior students, there will be a variety of extra-curricular sporting activities available for all students based in the sports facilities on campus.

As part of the College’s commitment to the pastoral care of its students, it is recognised that there is occasional need for additional emotional support. CCIS will have a counsellor available to all students to offer personal and independent support to deal with issues including stress and anxiety; bereavement; and loneliness and friendship issues.

식품 안전 및 영양 관리

We prioritise the health of our students which is why we have undergone an extensive process to select our school caterer. Our philosophy of providing clean and nutritious meals from scratch aligns with our views on healthy eating in the school.

Lunch

All students are expected to attend lunch in the Dining Hall. Our school's own catering team ensures a high proportion of freshly prepared, locally sourced food to maintain excellent quality. The Catering Manager collaborates with SLT on special diets and cultural requirements. A display board in the kitchen lists students' names, photos, allergies, and dietary needs for staff awareness. It is crucial that parents inform the school of any allergies or special dietary requirements in advance. While we strive to accommodate all needs, we will inform parents if we're unable to meet specific requests.

In the Dining Hall, students are encouraged to make healthy, balanced choices and estimate appropriate portion sizes and on days where classes are going on educational trips, students will receive packed lunches.

Nut Free

CCIS is a nut-free school environment. We ask that food items sent to school with students do not contain nuts.

Packed Lunches and Snacks

Parents may choose to send day students with a packed lunch. To promote healthy eating habits, please limit unhealthy snacks such as sweets, chocolate, biscuits, or fizzy drinks in packed lunches as well as adhering to our no nut policy.
