Sixth Form (A-Level 프로그램)
콩코드 중등부 교육과정은 영국 국가 교육과정을 기본으로 하며, 말레이시아의 국제학교라는 특성에 맞게 적절히 조정되었습니다. 이 교육과정은 전 세계 주요 대학과 기업들에게 인정받고 있습니다.
모든 수업은 영어로 진행되며, 학생들은 16세에 IGCSE 자격증을, 18세에 A-Level 시험을 준비하게 됩니다. Our curriculum is tailored to reflect the needs and aspirations of international, and internationally minded, students, while at the same time providing opportunity for all to be challenged in new and exciting ways which they may not have encountered in their previous schools. Students are offered a broad and rigorous curriculum which gives them the added enrichment of studying with and learning from young people from a range of cultures, religions and nationalities.
The Secondary School consists of a Middle School comprising Year 7 and 8 students who are offered a broad curriculum, a Senior School comprising Year 9 to 11 students preparing for their IGCSE examinations, and the Sixth Form, where Year 12 and 13 students will have the opportunity to take three or four A level subjects.
Sixth Form (A-Level) 프로그램 상세
Sixth Form(12-13학년)에서는 3개 또는 4개의 A-Level 과목을 선택할 수 있습니다. AS 레벨 시험은 12학년 말에 치르며, 캠브리지 국제 A-Level의 경우 이 성적은 13학년 말 A-Levle 최종 성적에 반영됩니다. The one exception to this will be students taking both Mathematics and Further Mathematics A levels, who will take the first Mathematics A level in Year 12.
EPQ(확장 프로젝트 자격증)는 A-Level의 절반에 해당하는 과정으로, 학문적 관심 분야의 연구 프로젝트를 완수할 기회를 제공합니다. Students applying for this option would begin this in Year 12 and submit their work in Year 13. Before being accepted onto the course, students will be assessed to ensure they have the necessary skills and commitment to undertake a project in addition to their other work.
모든 12학년 학생은 영어 평가를 받으며, EAL 학생들은 13학년에 IELTS 시험을 대비한 EFL 과정에 배정됩니다, which qualifies students for university.
학생들은 아래 4개 그룹에서 3개 핵심 과목*을 선택할 수 있습니다:
- 수학 (Mathematics)
- 생물, 심화 수학 또는 역사 (Biology, Further Mathematics or History)
- 미술, 화학, 컴퓨터 과학 또는 경제 (Art, Chemistry, Computer Science or Economics)
- 영어, 경제, 지리 또는 물리 (English, Economics, Geography or Physics)
*각 과목 개설 여부는 등록 시 확인됩니다.
핵심 프로그램에 EPQ 또는 4번째 A-Level 과목을 추가로 선택할 수 있습니다, with a view to providing as much breadth in their profiles as possible.
심화 수학은 4번째 선택 과목으로만 제공됩니다 (requiring an additional 5 lessons, rather than the usual 7), in combination with A level Mathematics and two further choices from groups 3 & 4. The Further Mathematics course will be taught at an accelerated pace, and is challenging, and therefore only suitable for students with the strongest Mathematics and Additional Mathematics IGCSE results (or equivalent).
Students in the Sixth Form (A Level) will also have two or three (or up to three) 45-minute assessments each Saturday morning on a two-week rota for each subject.
